The intense presence of tuberose, a precious essence of flowers, a narcotizing fragrant jewel, had presented itself with a different nuance; soft and treacherous. The effluvium of an unknown note had been added to the fragrance impregnated with sexuality. The combination of those scents gave rise to a powerful and mysterious perfume that bewildered and disturbed him. This was a real physical aggression that Alberto could not resist.

He let his thoughts race. And with them, he let his dreams race too.

His imaginings grew ever bolder. Again, the smell of the perfume subjugated him. Immediately, the aroma of tuberose penetrated him, stunning him. Impetuously, the narcotic essence revealed a floral universe of extraordinary intensity: peach blossoms, gardenia, jasmine, peony, and neroli presented themselves distinctly, but not intrusively. They formed a crown around the main note, the intoxicating tuberose.

Alberto became convinced that this was the perfume of an enchanting goddess, a muse of forbidden dreams. It was a sublime aroma that sent him into ecstasy. Ecstasis, to be precise, as Theophrastus would have asserted in his discourse on the sublime with Aristotle. Again, an indefinite time passed, during which he didn't understand if he had remained conscious...
