Description

Frankincense essence comes from the resin of the Boswellia carterii tree. The best quality comes from Somalia. The harvesting period runs from November to February; during this period, the tree bark is cut to allow the resin to drip out. After a few days, the resin hardens to form gum, which is then ready for essential oil extraction.

ENCENS SACRÉ stems from the search for a sublime balance between two olfactory nuances of frankincense: the essence extracted through distillation, with a sweet, mineral, balsamic note, and the essence obtained through high-temperature distillation, which offers the true impression of burning frankincense, in homage to the ancient art of fumigation. Supporting this duality are a floral heart of Moroccan Rose and Jasmine, and an enveloping base of Amber, Patchouli, and Sandalwood.
