Albert Fouquet was an aristocratic Parisian who created perfumes exclusively for his own personal use and for those closest to him. Each perfume was born from the memory of places or people with distinctive characters that fascinated him to such an extent that he wanted to represent them through fragrances. Champs de Provence was created as a gift from Fouquet to Alessandro and Chiara, a couple of Italian friends who owned a villa in Provence where they would relax, breathing in the freshness of over 1600 wild plants that bloomed every year in the countryside of this beautiful French region. Every spring, Albert Fouquet would go to Antibes, on the French Riviera, to Alessandro and Chiara's home to share with them the splendid spectacle of these wonderfully colored and scented flowers. During one of his visits, while enjoying one of the wines he produced with his own grapes, Alessandro told him that his next diplomatic assignment would be in the Philippines. He loved his work which took him around the world, but often, during these long stays abroad, he would wistfully remember the beauty of Provence. So, a few months later, when Alessandro and Chiara had settled in the Philippines, they received a beautiful gift from their dear friend. Albert Fouquet had transformed the freshness of the intoxicating aromas released by the typical flowers and plants of Provence into a perfume. A lovely green bottle contained the magic of a unique, fresh, and floral fragrance: Champs de Provence.
