The Astor Place bottle decoration echoes the angles and cubes of Rosenthal's sculpture, but represents them in a series of triangles that flaunt the richest range of colors. These triangles also recall the streetlights, sidewalks, and even the cracks in the Astor Place pavement that are wonderfully filled and decorated by local residents with mosaic tile fragments. Astor Place is full of art - now also in liquid form.
